Runway Newspaper Fashion Show
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds
Requirements:
·         Newspaper, tape
How to play:
1.       Divide into groups and give each group a certain amount of newspaper and tape. Give the group an allotted amount of time to create an outfit that one member of the group will walk down the runway.
Rules:
1.       Campers are only given a specific amount of materials and must be creative to make the finished product.

Crab Soccer
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large area to play, soccer ball
How to play:
1.       Play soccer on all fours walking like a crab!
Rules:
1.       Campers only kick the ball. And be aware of surrounding people.

World Cup Soccer
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large area to play, soccer ball
How to play:
1.       Campers divided into groups of three (countries). Goal is to score against the goalie, but MUST call out their country name before they shoot, otherwise it does not count. After scoring, the team gets a break. The last team left is out. Elimination game of world cup.

Frisbee Golf
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large area to play, soccer ball
How to play:
1.       Played with the same rules as traditional golf, using a fribee as the "ball" and various items (trees, to cabins to cones) as the holes.
2.       Players tee off and throw the frisbee towards the hole. Each throw is counted as a stroke. Before each hole, determine the par (number of strokes) desired for the hole.
3.       For variations put them in partners and blindfold one of the partners, and then it becomes a trust hike as well as a frisbee golf game.
 Grounder
Age and Number of campers: 6-8 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Playground
How to play:
1.       Counsellor is it to keep activity safe. All campers on the playground. Counsellor’s eyes are “closed” and trying to listen, walking around to catch campers who walk on the stones off the playground. If called “GROUNDER” or touched, that camper receives a point (to keep from eliminating). Least points wins!
Rules:
1.       Boundaries are the playground.
2.       No running on the playground, or around the playground.
3.       Only one person on the slide at the time.
5.       Strap on sandals or closed toe shoes should be worn on the playground. Be aware of flip flops.

 Octopus
Age and Number of campers: 6-8 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large area to play, markers of two distinct ending zones.
How to play:
1.       Get a group into a straight line beside one another. Pick one camper to be the octopus, and have them face the rest of the group that is lined up.
2.       The octopus yells “OCTOPUS” and the rest of the group has to run to the other side without being touched.
3.        If the octopus does get you, then you become seaweed. This means you have to sit down and try to get people as they run by you.
*Note, if the game is going too long, then you can yell, “SEAWEED ALIVE”, which means that all of the people who are seaweed can get up with the octopus to try to catch campers.
Rules:
1.       Campers must be honest if they get caught to sit down, another game can be played.
2.       Set boundaries where campers must stay in.

Freeze Tag
Age and Number of campers: 6-8 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large area to play.
How to play:
1.       Pick one person to be it and they have to tag the other people. If you become tagged, then you become frozen. This means you have to stand still with your arms up at your sides (like a T).
2.       To become unfrozen, another person has to run under your arms.
3.       Once a person is frozen three times, they become the new “IT”.
Rules:
1.       Campers must be honest if they get caught.
2.       Set boundaries where campers must stay in.
*Variations: Toilet Tag, Knee Tag

Finger Foods
Age and Number of campers: 6-8 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large wooded area to play.
How to play:
1.       One camper is it and must stand in the middle of a designated playing area with arms out. The camper counts down from 30, while the rest of the campers run to give the person who is it a “high five”, and find a hiding place! When gets to one, yells “FINGER FOODS”, and opens their eyes. They then look around, and if they see someone they yell out their name to come out and sit down. If no one else is seen, the camper closes their eyes and counts down from 25... 20.. 15.. 10.. 5.. 1, until everyone is caught!

Kick the Can
Age and Number of campers: 6-8 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Large area to play.
How to play:
1.       This game is a variation of tag and hide & seek. One person or a team of people are designated as “it” and a can is placed in the middle of the playing area. The other people run off and hide while the “it” covers his or her eyes and counts to a certain number. “It” then tries to find everyone. If a person is tagged by “it”, they go into a holding pen for captured players. If one of the un-captured players manages to kick the can, the captured players are released. The game is over once all the non-”it” players are in the holding pen.
Number of Players: Ideally at least three.
Equipment: A metal can.

Wave Tag
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds
Requirements:
·         Safety Village
How to play:
1.       Have one camper who is it, and everyone else running around, hiding behind the buildings in the safety village. The camper who is it can ONLY stay on the road, but walks around trying to spot fellow campers. When they see someone, they call out their name (or what they are wearing) to join them walking around on the road. It is everyone else’s job to “save” the campers who have already been caught, by WAVING at them without the camper who is it seeing. If a camper has been waved at, they can try to sneak away from the camper who is it. If they are caught trying to return to hiding, they must come back to join the camper who is “IT”.

Soccer
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Soccer ball, markers for nets.
How to play:
1.       Teach basic dribbling skills and shooting through a designated net.
*VARIATION: Soccer Baseball
Baseball
Age and Number of campers: 6-12 year olds, any number of campers
Requirements:
·         Tennis Balls, bats, gloves
How to play:
1.       Practice throwing around and then play baseball
